South Kitsap Helpline

South Kitsap Helpline is a non-profit hunger-relief agency serving Port Orchard and surrounding Kitsap County areas.A vital agency serving our community for 50 years, the SK Helpline mission includes eliminating hunger by providing healthy food& emergency resources to those in need, and promoting self-sufficiency. The Helpline is one in a constellation of local support agencies offering services for folks who need a boost.

In 2010, the Helpline received a generous grant to purchase a local landmark Nursery. The agency office & food bank now have a permanent home, and the nursery continues to thrive with help from volunteer talent. The gardens & greenhouse provide vegetable starts, herbs and fresh produce for food bank customers.  Produce also supports fund-raising for ongoing projects. skhelpline.org
